32bit version crashes at launch

Just as the topic title says, trying to launch game ends up with an Oort Online window opening, coloured in a bright yellow hue, then going to black and instantly crashing after that.

OS: Windows 7 Home SP1 32bit
CPU: Intel Core i3-3225 CPU @3.30 GHz 3.30 GHz
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
RAM: 4 GB

You can try running Oort from ga.me in a browser while you wait for the devs to troubleshoot your issue.

Sorry that you have encountered this issue.
Have you tried installing the latest driver for your graphics card?
Thanks

The driver is of latest version, I doubt that that is the problem.

@ben @james Hey guys, could you please take a look at this? Noxmare is a friend of mine and it’s a total bummer that he can’t play with me. I remember how you helped me with a similar problem and hope you can help him too.
Thanks in advance!

If you really want to play together try the browser until the dev get to fixing his issue.

Could you please explain how does one launch Oort via this ga.me ? I’ve found the site but Oort isn’t in the list of the games. Here’s a screenshot:

try this link: https://ga.me/games/oortonline-preview

You must create an account, then email the devs asking for ga.me access. It used to be by invite only, I think it’s technically still a closed demo.

Looking in the log its not obvious why its crashing but by the sound of it a graphic issue seems the most likely. It does find your AMD card and seems to get past most of the initialization. Is there is a crash dump generated (a *.mdmp file) in the oort steam folder, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Oort Online ? If so can you upload it some where or email it in to support oortonline@turbulenz.com?

Worth double checking the AMD site for the drivers - the log seems to state the graphics drivers is version 13.* (though there are two versions) but the site seems to imply there a new 15.* version http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%207%20-%2032

Apparently the problem was indeed with driver. I had it reinstalled and the game launched successfully. Thanks a bunch everyone!!
