I actually just realized I never bought an atlas for an exo-world. Does the atlas stay with the full map and name after the exo-world is gone?

Nope. It goes away when the world goes away… basically you can reuse the atlas like a new one.

Very sad, but I can see the reason why. They likely don’t want to store anything in the memory of the game since these exo worlds generate completely random each time, and unless someone tells me otherwise, they probably never show up again? But that means with each exo-world, the game would need to hold the map info for an entire planet infinitely adding up.

Technically the same Exoworld never spawns twice. IIRC I remember one or two of the same ones spawning one time, but I think that was some sort of glitch.
