BALL (or at least a way to make a Wildstock temporarily immortal)

an entity / mob type of thing that can be spawned with a craftable and colorable ball totem
can be grappled and dragged for 3 seconds, hit with a tool and bounced, rolls down slopes and slides on ice
could have different kinds : spiky ball that causes damage, crazy ball that randomly moves on its own, exploding ball with 2 minute timer, etc

wildstocks can be used for this purpose, but they are not too reliable.

hoppers in ball mode that last 5 min before despawn, we could shoot them with bows and fists into nets, or meleee too

OMG yes! I bet this would be much easier to develop than similar ideas about interactive objects.

Imagine, in its most basic form (jumping off point), if we could simply summon a hopper. That could open the doors to a variety of sports.

Idea: Small arena with two halves, each with a hole filled with lava. Even if the hopper was vulnerable, stone slingbows would take forever to kill a mighty or elite one. If it falls in the hole, it’s dead and the other team scores. If killed on land then it’s worth less points.

Since hoppers roll in one direction, you’d have to grapple it to redirect it, let it un-ball then try to hit it the right way, the defending team is trying to pull it away but could end up lining it up perfectly with the goal… I’m amped. Let’s do this!

Yes been asking awhile. We need a ball object. Something destoryable not able to pick up but able to craft and drop.

Ball is basically Immortal non-exploding hopper, ball totem has knockback but only works on Ball (or Ball amplifies all knockback), Ball interacts with trampoline

Feels like it shouldn’t be hard to implement.
