Hey there, I’m new to Boundless and would like to protect my construction. I recently discovered the Beacon plotter. When I try and place the plotter I receive a server message “Is not possible to take a plot here.” I had recently requested a Beacon in the forums without knowing we could plot or own and am wondering if maybe I already have a Beacon and just can’t see it? Would my own Beacon be invisible to me and only other players?

Hey @ThavenMooncrow - welcome to the forums!
To protect your construction, you will need to create a beacon block first (32 x stone / 8 x glass). Once you have placed that, you can expand it using the beacon plotter.
You need the plotter and a beacon block ^^
Also you can turn on beacon effects in the options ^^

I have one more noob question.
How do I obtain gleam. I’ve been down in caves and have only seen granite, stone and dirt. Is gleam something I have to craft? I know the trick of copying it already but I’d like to be self sufficient 
It occurs on some worlds (I’d say most of them but am not sure) naturally. Just search around and you’ll eventually find it^^
