Major reason for the Reaper Trials is that you are currently on top of the leader board for Code 187s. The fact that trolls are weak to fire is just a really lucky coincidence.

Why do we need to share our guilds without any parameters or requirements? Just for profit, isnā€™t it ?

I totally agree with this lol! :sweat_smile:

Sometimes I read them and say to myself: ā€œWhat game are they talking about? Did they even play Boundless for more than 5 minutes, if at all?ā€

A lot of players complain about beacon issues - old players, new players, players that rage-quit, players that are in a guild, solo playersā€¦itā€™s all very relevant :wink:

My guild requires people to find the guild book. Which means you have to read clues to find the reaper trials. The trials are a fairly difficult obstacle course over lava. And an intricate maze. You will die! But thatā€™s the point. It takes skill and patience. 2 qualities any guild would want from there members. Reapers donā€™t quit!

This game has a high bar to clear just getting past the sanctum. I didnā€™t like it at first and uninstalled the game 2-3 times before finally picking it upā€¦ where I then quit playing after I made the mistake to not properly fuel my newbie beacon and lost what I felt was a lot of work at the time.

This game gets in the way of its self if you ask me.

Yep. I believe it. There are new players that Iā€™ve tried to help set up a beacon ā€“ that quit right then and there lol. They said it was ā€œoverwhelmingā€ and they didnā€™t want to do all that. :woman_shrugging:

I think a tutorial could help. Improving how beacons expire, where playersā€™ items go, permissions, and a few other things would also be a great help.

imo, this feeling I felt also. I think it stems from your ā€˜homeā€™ should be the safe spot where you come to and you know everything is ok. It being in flux is a huge deterrent imo. If you canā€™t rely on that out of the gate its going to deter further log in I think.

Sanctum achievement was added later, i owned the game since it came out and didnt get the sanctum achievement until 2019. But i played back in 2012 when we were just blocks of color and the grapple was a line.

You do realize that ā€œUnintended featuresā€ are normally considered exploits, in almost every mmo?

Like if its bad enough the devs will patch it, if it doesnt hurt anyone they some times they let it stay.

The plot reservation abuse was declared an exploit but up until then it was a ā€œfeatureā€ that allowed you to reserve more land for use then you actually owned.

The Warp beacon cheat was a exploit that allowed you to warp home but its not out right being abused to the detriment of the game. .
