as stated in the title.
So the refined igneous in the above picture was replaced with igneous stones.
i checked beacon perms, and i am the only one with building perms.
Very strange indeed.
Anyone else experiencing blocks within plotted regions changing?
I have seen this phenomena once but it was as I accidently had a lava spill into a water pit with marble, marble turned to normal stone.

What tint are the igneous stones? Is it a native tint?
Itâs pretty odd, but when water touches lava, it will turn into igneous stones, any chances you were messing around with water and didnât realise something happened?

yes, native tint.
i donât remember water in the area. but there is water a few floors up.
it is possible that water leaked down during construction, but would it replace the blocks?
Yes that would explain it. I ll keep an eye on my lava nonetheless in case its a bug after all.

Prolly totally different Problem but i found igenous Stone embedded where Lava and water met. It should have been rock but was Stone.
Plotted area and not on the Surface, so werent mine to start with.

The way that stone looks placed, makes me believe thatâs from a spill.
Oh yeah, same thing happened to my Decorative rock when I was setting up my inorganic farm. Accidentally placed Petrolim on top of a block and it flowed over the lava! Which strangely enough, changed all the blocks near the lava to igneous stone. I just assumed it would make a new igneous block on top, not replace what was already there.
I assume resin and water do the same thing?
Water, petrolim, and resin are all inert. They only react to lava by creating stone blocks, replacing any blocks at place of conversion.

If youâve made any channels with chiseling, it might be those channels âfloodingâ with lava/fluid?
Tho blocks donât actually change btw. If water and lava mix near chiseled blocks it will break the block that was there and leave it floating on screen and the new block will be placed in the chiseled spot.

Just had this happen to me. Water flowed down into my go farm and changed a lot of blocks. Lost about 20 gleam lanterns
They should have been floating on the ground if you went straight there. Iâve had water lava mix and break blocks on me and seen them floating. Course it was with marble not lamps. So maybe a bug with those if they werenât floating there.
Havenât seen that happen, whenever water accidentally leaks into my IO farms, it turns any chiseled block with lava inside into igneous stone, losing me both the lava and block. Iâm just glad I decided to use refined gleam instead of gleam lanterns in that particular case. Managed to lose a bit of bitumen as well so far though.
Strange. Saw it happen with blocks at the dome too when @Ratchel decided to break a block in their floor he shouldnât have
. I donât remember who else was there. Not that it really matters. But to me it would seem like a bug if some times it leaves the block floating and other times it doesnât. I wonât test it cause Iâm at work and Iâd rather not launch the game
Maybe one of the devs can confirm for you guys what should happen to the blocks. @james @vdragon @lucadeltodecso
None of the blocks popped up.
(no precious blocks were harmed in the making of this gif, itâs on testing)
I assumed itâs intended that it overwrites blocks once I had it happen, but I guess it does feel a bit weird since itâs not immediately obvious that it would, youâd think the lava doesnât take priority.

Lava<>stone transformations dont produce block drops I believe, but âsolidfy liquidâ boon will do so as thats an explicit action by the user.
Has there been any patches since the farming update? If so maybe something changed with that. It happened to me after the farming update hit. But it was also only one block that happened to me as I donât have big areas that could be changed.
Thing is itâs overriding player placed blocks. Would think it would break the chiseled block and create the new block in its place. So If thatâs not what happens guess I was the one that had a bug that made it happen. Not surprised as I seem to also be the only one with a bugged guild problem
Ive had this happen to my blocks previously, will only happen if lava meets any other liquid inside the same space as a chiseled block (block +fluid in same space). If the two meet next to solid blocks, the blocks are not affected at all
