More evidence… I get the idea he is playing with us. I mean, the code was like 90% completed… the he just vanish in fin air for 2 like years. Now again… i have nice news for you…
I do have 100’s off hours ingame, i did pay a good amount for this game. Just like i buy a car and are unhappy i will complain! Especially if i get “teasing” flags in the salesman attitude!!
She is not a she
Doesn’t really matter what I say as the community clearly supports changing advertised early backer rewards without notifying its early backers. Just makes me question if boundless 2.0 comes out and another kickstarter is attempted. I wouldn’t even drop $5.00 due to this experience.
But James did say coming weeks so 1 to 999,999,999,999 weeks is what we should go by and accept it.
If you want to do something, there’s always time to do it
Just stirring the pot, and adding my £0.02 haha
But is there always mental energy? I know I have things that I really completely do want to do, but between work and kids and normal life stuff there is literally just not a time where I have the mental capacity to do it.
Like playing Boundless, rn, tbh. I really want to finish my spiral sculpture, but there is no creative energy left after everything else going on in my life, so it just… doesn’t happen.
Oh! My bad, your username sounded so… feminine, with that “L” sound at the end, like “Isabel” or something. I must’ve assumed on my own. Woops, sorry!
Yeah. I think a lot of people in this community are too forgiving and will accept anything as long as the game is available, and they’ll thank James as if he was the Lord while they’re at it, like “YES DADDY, I’ll wait 2 more years!”
I absolutely agree. But what if it’s your job?
If I announced to all the customers at my job that I was 100% going to do a thing, I’d find the time to do it, fearing the repercussions.
There’s always time, which is why I don’t think time is a factor, and there are bigger forces at play.
I would probably just spend most of the time having anxiety attacks about not getting work done because of anxiety attacks
Ugh, anxiety attacks. Relatable
It is clear that rioting isn’t changing anything, so…
I am not happy that there is nothing new coming to the game. I am not happy that people have left the game. I am not happy that we don’t know what’s going on.
I can accept that; I can’t do anything about it, I still enjoy the game as-is, and the developers are humans with human limitations.
I just don’t see any reason to bother wasting my energy on being angery about this. I choose to enjoy what I have or move on.
It’s more likely that people understand that the devs are people too. That there may have been more important priorities recently or unforeseen factors at play - that they are having to navigate through.
I need to get to this point, I’m realizing more and more. I’ve let my emotional attachment to the game and people in it lead me to a point where I’m just hurting myself, hitting my head against a wall that - hard as my head is - it just isn’t going to break through. I’ve tried my best and said my peace, whatever will happen I suppose will happen regardless so I’ll try to shut my trap now… but can’t say I won’t jump back in anyways, haha…
Yeah but that should have limits, ESPECIALLY if no explanation or apologie given by the devs (who are people too).
I think everyone understands that the devs are people too (at least I hope). 5 minutes to post a quick update on progress or roadblocks or issues as to why things aren’t happening though is well within their means.
I understand what you’re saying and I don’t like it either.
I can see that they are still around, they are maintaining the game, there have been changes, the forums are still up, they have posted a few times — I have to conclude that none of these things would be true if they had no interest in coming back to the game or if there were no future plans .
September 11 is the date, folks. That’s Boundless’ anniversary. If we don’t hear anything by September 11 then I am 100% convinced this game is done.
Does that mean I’ll need to find a new iron supplier bro ?
lol naw I’ll still play until they shut the servers down but what I mean is that the devs are completely done updating the game if we don’t hear anything by Sept 11. I’ll play Boundless until Endless Voxels releases.
Five Reasons Why Gaming Communities Matter - Mintegral
I’m in-game as I type this because I love playing, but as a community member, I have never felt as unimportant in a game to developers as I have in Boundless.
It’s super important these days to keep in touch with your players. If you have no social presence, you have no presence at all. (I work for a gambling company, and we are super popular because of our online presence, coupled with creating what we call an “awesome customer experience” - treat em good, you do better - who knew!)
