@Angellus you aren’t wrong, and I do appreciate all the hard work you put into Boundlexx and the Proxy both are pretty amazing having looked at the code Boundlexx is a beast, and I can see the labor of love it is or was.

I do not want to donations for a personal side project, otherwise it stops being a personal side project. You already get entitled people for getting things for free, it would only be worse if they could pay you money. I keep wanting to do more game tooling development, but it is just so hard to justify development for this game when Monumental is likely to never update it.

i think i will never find a words to proper thanks to Angellus, Mayumichi, Simoyd for making our life way easier past few years
who remember the harsh times with
- no B.U.T.T
- no bot anouncing exo spawns with colors anouncing along with exclusive color mentioned
- no WorldsPoster exo topics
who still remember:
- running every few hours looking in sky if no sign of new exo?
- scouting every t4-t6 where the new exo appeared
- checking manually every block color and anouncing the finds at discord channels
now its time to back to basics?
we still can make new exo topics manually with every block colors, it only demands to jump on exothem and check all colors in knowledge tab

Well, I think the point is, I’m also grateful for the tools and there are some of us in the shadows having discussions on how to fix things, so current and new players can still enjoy the game and the tools around it.

I remember the times before BUTT.
During my first year, I used Tiggs tunnels exclusively. People would suggest using Portal Seekers or one of the other networks, but they confused me. Tiggs had signs next to portals telling where they went and which path to follow to reach certain planets. PS didn’t have that.
I remember looking for materials for crafting and jumping through a portal and then immediately checking what shops on that planet were selling or buying. It was so much extra work that I got to the point of just picking a shop and going there exclusively, even if I was doing so at a loss.
So @Rosa with her Galaxy Cruiser shop was my exclusive go to. I had it bookmarked and I check it every day. So my extras to her baskets and bought what I needed from her stand. I was shopping just about every day.
Because of BUTT, I can now shop around and find the best buy or sale.
Of course, there are still people that I still don’t buy from because I don’t get along with them.
There are still times though that when I come across a shop selling stuff at a good price, I’ll go ahead and buy it, even if I don’t need it right then. I still visit the little “Mom and Pop” shops to give them some much needed business.

I do something like this a lot. I’ll go take random portals and find these random shops and just drop a good chunk of coin there to spread the coin around.

One of the big points for me is forging and forged gear. I can do forging, but I hate it. I’m at a point where I can afford to buy forged gear on a regular basis.
When I first joined DragonsLair and took up hunting with gusto, I needed a steady supply of forged gear. Imagine my surprise when going to Starlight Mall on Finata and finding @SeleneRati Meteor Memories.
It was my go to forged gear shop for almost 2 years. But life gets in the way as it does and now we don’t see her as much.
I’ve had to find alternatives. But it’s getting to the point where I might have to start forging my own gear again.
I miss the days when we had more players and prices were lower because there was so much available.
The markets are suffering and some stuff is getting scarce. I hate to see the game (and players) suffer like this.
I found these days it’s just cheaper to make your own forged items. If you hunt on a semi-regular basis you can get enough materials to craft your own.
I do dislike the prices myself, 15k for a tool I used to get for 5-8k … I think people are too reliant on others for materials thus why prices are so high. A crafter/forger may not go hunt for materials like hopper cores, hopper eyes, feathers etc. and then just buy them from someone selling at the current market prices and in order to profit needs to mark it up and thus the 15k tool is born.
Id buy someone out of tools at 5-8k though as I am sure many would.
Hunts provide enough to forge for oneself, but if you are forging for a shop or others you need more. You make bows for yourself and then use however many on hunts to hopefully make replacements and maybe a few more for a shop. You must also take into account those materials to supplement what you need to make additional for those that would rather buy them from a shop have gone up as well. Plus the cost of materials to make the forge ingredients beyond what you can source yourself. All this takes time and if you want to do anything else like build you cannot keep up. It was not so bad when there were more players and more shops. But with less shops the old supply and demand has ultimately kicked in.

People could just lower their prices overall I mean out of 70 people the supply is low, but so is the demand.
If people just dropped their prices that would be nice. I personally might just do hand trades for everything for much cheaper prices, especially Oort.
I’m sorry but this sounds like you’re only going to shops you know and not to anything new. I know several shops (including mine) where T6 tools go for in the 10k’ish range.

I loved Rosa’s Galaxy Cruiser. The Galaxy was my second* favourite actual build on Storis until she moved to another, scarier planet. I still visited and bought flowers, but not as often lol.
*second only to Lefra Oasis. We’ve had some amazing builders at various points.
