Chains - need help with chiselling

i need help with chiselling, or maybe someone got something like this in their builds

im planning to make floating platform hanging on chains attached to the edges by the corners, but they have to be attached diagonally, so i need diagonal chains … hmmmm… or springs…
(the platform will be placed under my galactic prison at grov te ps hq)

anyone can help with their awesome chiselling skill?

Unfortunately the closest thing the game has to chains right now is latticed octigrids, but those only go orthogonally. How big are the platforms anyway? Should the chains be large enough that a single ring takes up multiple blocks? That’s probably the only way you could do this at the moment.

space is 10 x 10 plots, so platform will be 8 x 8 plots, 3 plots below maIn build, so its 2 x 2 x 3 plots to make diagonal chains/springs

I’ve done chains like you are describing before, but on a large scale. My chain links were about 3x3x3 each, large enough to run along them!

Lattice squares connected at the corners may be your best bet. I’m out for the day but it’d look sorta like this

There is a very slight but unavoidable defect since you can’t split-chisel a single block but it’s not bad

Have to think about it a little but it all depends on how big they can go in the “complete” picture. I Can test build some in a few hours if you like. But i am going to close my eyes first (5:30 am) lol

You could do metal spirals kind of like shock absorbers. Could look cool.

Also helixes look sorta like springs
