I think the description of the corrupted compound ingredient should be changed to more specifically state that it does not add defect points on the turn it’s applied unless a defect buff is already active. Or maybe make it clearer that the buff is the only thing applying the points, not the ingredient itself, I dunno. It just seems really confusing.
Edit: or fix it so that it does add them 
And draining compound too I guess.
And maybe add a forging tutorial to the game.
