There used to be a chess board where you were the pieces. I think it was @Creegle who built it, might be wrong though.

@Ratchel you are not wrong. Thank you for remembering. Sadly, this was well before the community was ready to do meta and . . . I tore it down. I have seen others since though. Although I think mine was the only one that needed players to represent the pieces. It would have taken many willing participants and a LOT of organization. Folly I say.

Hello Friends, As if playing the game itself wasn’t consuming enough, lets add layers now! I have created a functional chess board. And guess what!? The players are the pieces! Prizes will be awarded. 2 Gamemasters will stand on opposite podiums and direct their “pieces” to victory or defeat. Conventional Chess standards and rules apply…

If there was a chess game going on like this, I would live stream it to help so the love for the game. I would let the stream go and do commentary on my YouTube channel of the chess match.
