I was trying to craft a buncha glass so that I could get my beacon up, but when I went to craft glass, only one glass crafted out of the sand, and then it stopped allowing me to craft the glass recipe, though sandstone was still available.
You need “Sand” not “Sandstone” to craft “Glass”

yes. I had over 8 sand in the crafting space, but it would not let me select the glass crafting option. The sandstone option was still working though.
Hmm … i tryed to re-create your error but everything worked fine.
Had 18 Sand in the Beginning, crafted 1 Glass (-8 = 10) and still had the option to create one more. I splitted 2 Sands away (Stack of 8 remains) and still be able to create Glass and Sandstone.
Notice that Sandstome takes only 4 Sand and Glass takes 8 Sand …
Notice also that all the Sand needs to be on one Stack and in the crafting Menu. You can’t use 2 Stacks of 4 Sand to create 1 Glass even if they contain 8 Sand combined.
If the error resists you could try to re-install B<. This helped me sometimes at some errors (Don’t know for sure if it helps you, but it’s worth a try)
