Elemental Attacks with Totems

If you don’t want there to be magic in the game just don’t call it magic. But giving totems uses other than revives and planet teleporting would be a good thing.

Taming creatures could be a thing. Have an actual Shepard totem separate from the rest cause I know there’s still a lot of players who would like to have animals that are domesticated.

I don’t think having more augments is a strong enough solution to making totems more useful and desirable. Titanium Totem being an all in one totem is a good step but how many people actually use the thing over individual focused tools?

When it comes to consumable items there just is so much left to desired and I doubt the real solution we should be suggesting is expanding on existing things over introducing new things.

But then again, why not have more totem augments and more totems in general?

I would like there to be ten times as many metal ores to gather up. Same for gems and other resources. Why not various qualities of oil too? I think it would make sense for crude oils to exist on strange worlds that resemble Earth in certain ways. Why not find Tin, Aluminium, Nickel, etc. and have crafted metals as well, such as Cobalt or Steel?

I think the thread is getting off topic but it all comes full circle when elemental effects on stuff are being discussed. There’s just a lot that could be added to this game to just make it more full and probably wouldn’t take up a lot of developer time compared to other things, such as Air Ships, Titans, and rental worlds.
