I always forget about mesh limit because nothing I’ve built is even close to the mesh limit question, is the mesh limit per beacon? For example. I know the combustion goes against the mesh limit (I think?) Can you just make 2 beacons right next to each other? And make them both combustion farms to bypass that mesh limit? Or because they’re connected it wouldn’t work? I really don’t know too many details on the mesh limit but I’m always curious if you can work around it by just making more beacons?
I believe it is 2 x 2 plots for the limit. There’s more details in a post on these forums somewhere but I’m not super able to link it right now, sorry
Edit: jk this thread is a good one. Can also search for “mesh” to find other threads
It’s per chunk. You could build at 4 chunks. But you’ll have to find them and build there. But a chunk is 2x2xN. As stated above me you can do a quick search on what’s counted against it and how to find a chunk. It’s easier to find a chunk on pc than it is on PS4. That handy debug menu.
You can divide the coordinates by 16 to find chunk borders.
Sorry but coming from someone that doesn’t really mine…
But maybe progressing to fast?
Like i said before when i absolutely had to go and get the precious gems i was at a point that i could buy a bad gem hammer (cross and debuffs) and get gems with it… back then even de bad hammers weren’t the cheapest things to buy. Now a days its way easier to make coin and buy one that is probably very good for way less coin.
Only use gems when I absolutely need to. But almost only use metals and if i go mine my intrest will also be almost only metals, coals, fossils and tech. Gems are the last thing i think about. Only if i go to an exo its important to me to have gem tools.
Just how i see it.
Just saying Its intended as a stepping stone
T1-T2
Wood > stone > copper (> iron)
T3-T4
Iron > silver > gold (> Titanium)
T5 and up
Titanium > gems
Every T lvl you go up has “more” metals as by product (not counting stone and other mats that drop) sell those to make coin and go up a step. Just saying. Also forging was end game and even now you can forge “decent” stats on low tier gear without coils. Even the coils keep going down in price.
So im sorry but I really don’t get the “gem wall”.
Again this can be just me and this is probably already said (didn’t read all the posts 4am atm). But when i see “newbies” at “lvl 15” and they are asking where to find gems ill probably say T5 and up but it might be best to lvl a bit more before the go for it. Or atleast make some coin to buy the tools they need.
Didn’t go for gems until I probably almost or already was lvl 50 because way to few skill points. But thats me .
Yep those were the days…
