From Minecraft to Boundless, what keeps you playing?

1000 times this. Played Trove on and off for a couple years and now Boundless, and this is what lacks most to me. Beautiful builds where people spent hundreds of hours, but nothing to DO other than see and appreciate and move on. (Trove did, however, have some neat stuff like magnetic rails that would be nice to see here in some form)

Wildstar (not a voxel game, also now a shutdown game, but they did housing systems well) did a decent attempt at having reasons to go to a player’s plot. They had various “plugs” you put in- some might bestow buffs, or give out some food each day. Some plugs would be little challenges, fight a mob or try to jump up some moving rocks within a time limit. Others like gardens and mines, allowed you to harvest but also allowed friends to come by and harvest- with a portion of their harvest being sent to you if you choose.

Anyway, I imagine if it were easy it’d have been done already, but this is my main qualm with Boundless (and formerly Trove). Still liking the game a lot, of course.

As for the poll question, RPG mostly, with a pinch of the rest. Trading isn’t really my thing, though.
