Im confused. I thought gleambow was a disaster last time. It ruined regular meteor hunts and people kept complaining how unfair the non shared loot was. Meh, guess it wasn’t that bad after all

Gleambow was exciting & awesome!!! I can’t wait for this one and the new items…the rare colors of materials…
There were some issues last time though: lots of gleambow meteors were lost because they kept landing too far away and the timers were really short. You had to get there quick. Some people would follow others and wouldn’t help defeat the meteor…they would just take the materials…it kinda wasn’t fair because some people didn’t get anything.
I have screenshots of regular meteors falling along with the gleambow ones.
I kinda wish they’d take a note from Trove on the loot…everyone gets it, not just one person.

I agree on the loot. I only hunted gleambow solo last time because I got way more on my own then with a group. Tank spec, grapple to the ground, 2x1 hole in the meteor and crawl inside for protection and loot is all mine !!! Muhahaha!! Can’t do that in a group!!
I think it was still a bit too short. Events = everybody. There will be newer players participating & it needs to be fun for them too. A lot of them don’t have skills, speed, grapples, etc. They can’t run to them in time.

But let’s say the meteor box contains 10 shares to divide, it shouldn’t need to be a flat 5/5 or 3/3/3. Why not 5 Oort, 4 gold, 1 plant?
No argument here, I get the disdain for these in regular/exo meteors. There are things in loot table for those that are so easy to gather elsewhere that they are pointless to have in meteors, IMO. But for this event they fit with the spirit of it and are already pretty rare.

So it was 50% oort, 50% gold, then they add 30% sentinels crest and we get 35% oort, 35% gold, 30% sentinels crest…
What you mean it doesn’t lessen anything?
Not strictly true… those values would only stand IF the maximum number of drops were to remain constant.
For example, if a gleambow drops 6 items only… 50/50 for Oort and Gold, that’s 3 of each…
If they were to increase that max to 9 items and add another drop item on an even split (and same drop chance), you would still mostly get 3 of each item
