I have been having this very weird problem since before the farm update :
Whenever I have Google Chrome around and I run Boundless - Boundless just either crashes or hangs my pc.
Scenario:
Run Boundless
Nothing is running in the background except Discord
Launch Google chrome : Everything hangs. Boundless then looses connection (Getting alert that I have bad connection) I am sent to the sanctum and I just - completely hangs my PC. My mouse is unable to move either - UNTIL I shutdown Google Chrome then it gives 1-2 minutes to get back to normal.
Any idea what is happening? I was able to run Boundless and Google Chrome easily with no problem - no matter how many tabs I had. The last time I had was 25 tabs with no problem at all when running with Boundless. I have no idea why is this happening.
Google Chrome is up-to-date.
I clear my history - caches every time I am done with Google Chrome.
Not sure what else information you need.

how much ram des your computer have?
the last update could have allocated more memory for boundless i know google chrome use’s a crazy amount and sometimes hangs on to tabs even once they are closed
check your background programs if they not eating all the rams
also check sometimes chrome has open pages that dont show and run in background
and even when coputer shuts down and put back on they can respawn there
also check your internet analytics if there is no weird thing from windows itself
eating the internet i seen when postponing the windows update the update installer can go bonkers and start endless download loop in backgound
but first check if all is good when opening taskmanager
click on more details option and then also check out the internet analytics
if ctrl alt delete doesnt work (thats a new virus i discovered last month hides the taskbar very nasty stuff 
)
The other cause could be a graphics driver issue since chrome does use the gpu for rendering too. You could as a test try disabling hardware acceleration in chrome and see if the issue persists, if it doesnt it could imply chrome/driver issue, if it does then it doesnt tell us anything.

I have a similar problem with chrome, discord, and boundless on a 5k iMac. It is definitely graphics related. I have to reduce the size of the boundless window to about 25% of original size in order to use all 3 at the same time. I cope by running in windowed mode and resizing the game if I need to open the others.
That sounds like running out of vram

Thanks for all the suggestion and response.
I am sure it isn’t my graphic as any other heavy duty games are still able to run with no hang issue while chrome is running in the back. I have tested all the games and its all smooth. It only does with Boundless.
How can I be running out of vram when it worked perfectly before in full graphic mode? Is it the new graphic settings in Boundless? Do I have to lower my graphics setting? It would suck as then i wouldn’t be able to enjoy it.
I will do that. dont recall ever enabling it.
It is just weird it would hang my whole computer.
Will keep an update on the situation. Please let me know if you need any screenshot for further analysis.

I am not sure if this helps but here it is.
Lately, ive been having issues with chrome too so maybe its chrome to be blamed. I have a gaming laptop (16 gb ram) and starting about 2 weeks ago, a single tab would sometimes use 100% of my ram which is super weird. Nothing else running, no extentions, no viruses or whatever, and no recent downloads (to suspect malware or something). I tried checking for updates and now the problem is gone (or so i believe).
I have few extension but nothing really serious or heavy - just common ones.
I have looked if it needs to be updated and it says my google chrome is up-to-date: Version 75.0.3770.142

Sounds like a driver issue.
Compatibility - we know it isn’t a compatibility issue between chrome/discord/boundless as thousands of other players can use all of those components together without issues. This tells us that it is something specific to your PC.
Graphics - this is not a graphics card issue (other than possibly driver related). opening Chrome does not put any stress on your graphics card. If this were some sort of issue related to your graphics card you would likely see Artifacting on your screen, not seeing applications locking up.
The issue doesn’t occur until you open Chrome. This isn’t a lag issue as it impacts all functionality on your system, not just messing with your connection.
This sounds like it is most likely a driver issue of some sort. I would recommend updating all of your drivers, but specifically your graphics card driver and your NIC and motherboard drivers.

I have found the problem - one of the tabs was causing me to lag - I do not know which one, but it solved it
I ended up closing all of them and reopening just a few and seem to work beautifully now. Sorry for the trouble and thank you again for trying to help me.
