While running around on Zeta I noticed the fog effect seemed to be really thick and near constant. Mixed with the color scheme it gave the planet a really creepy vibe.
At one point my daughter came in and made an excellent observation: “It looks like a Halloween world.”
Yes, yes it does. Sorry, didn’t get any better pictures, all the good shots had mighty-mobs and saving pictures on PS4 takes a tish more time than just hitting the screen shot key.
Point of this is it got me thinking exoworlds are a perfect opportunity to make special themed worlds for events that won’t pose the risk of interfering with players on the current worlds.
Can do whatever your little dev hearts please and it will only effect players who choose to go there. Then after the event they go bye-bye. No lingering effects.
The only real problem with this is how are new players gonna get there?
Events should be for every player, regardless of level and experience.
Sooo… these special holiday exoworlds would be viewable from every planet cluster. Blinksecs won’t matter. Holiday voodoo. And possibly a special event totem that instant warps the player there without portals or coins.
Or just put another portal in the sanctum that can only be opened if such a planet is out. ← Probably the better choice.
Can you imagine a planet shaped like a pumpkin? Or colored like an Easter egg or Christmas ornament?

I know the plan is to bring back some of the old events and put them on Exo worlds sometimes… but I think a themed planet is a great idea.

And yes, themes are fun.
I would love a t1 or even t2 snow world. I find snow calming and love the look. The mobs on what we have here kind of take away that peace.
Portal Knights had wonderful snow worlds. They were my favorite. Music, trees, flowers were all unique and beautiful.

Yes! Wish I had picked some more up, but I had goals and honestly didn’t know what I would do with it.
But I kept what I did get. Maybe accent grass for later?
