What if we could craft a holographic greeter? Using higher end tech we could build a 1 block high projection base that would display a cute little critter above it, that you could place in your shop or home. Your greeter could have have 3 or 4 messages it cycles through when people interact with it, such as greetings, interesting facts, hot sales, requests, jokes, poetry, ect.
Basically it serves the same function as a sign, but intended to give your shop or home a more personal touch while your away.
I know this is similar to some previous suggestions, but I thought I would mention it anyway.
