Compact coal to work

Not really sure what you are asking here. Work for what? Spark?

If youre talking in the spark gen, its fairly quick. Works 1 at a time per slot. Takes awhile if you put in a whole stack

Bought a compact hard coal
Just seems to be sitting in the spark generator
Read that it takes some time for the spark gen to consume it.

300 seconds I think it was

Yep finally consumed it

This is correct. The more spark to be added (ie HARD coal) the longer it takes to be “processed” by the generator. It will give a sizable lump of power when it does though.

No point in me mining it when people sell it so cheap lol

I use peaty most the time, can gather 48 smart stacks in no time, then compact. super fast for spark fuel and furnaces

When you put it in the spark generator, it says how fast it is “burning”. Something like 2/sec

Hard coal is, I think, 15000 power? (I put it in a furnace to find out)

You have to do the math from there.

So, lets say, it’s 10/s and the fuel you put in is 100 power, it would take ten seconds.

I don’t have the real numbers, you’ll have to check. The fuel doesn’t go in until it’s completely consumed.

I thought my compact peat was broken time to toss it in lol.

only thing i use lol, i hate mining

Comp. Soft Comp. Medium Comp. Hard Comp. Peat
Spark/Heat 1500 4500 15000 500
Per Second 10 15 30 5
Total Time (s) 150 300 500 100
Total Time (m) 2.5 5 8.33 1.67

My issue is time digging peat is time I could be digging clay.

And I never have enough clay.

I just went peaty farming, got 3 shop stands packed and extra in about however long 2 mega fast brews last

I used to complain about how much gathering I had to do to make bricks.

Then I decided to make Marble. :sob:

Seriously. Something about long jumps and piers.

I use PUREs peaty farm lol regen bombs are too cheap

600 hours of crafting time alone (if using a single machine) to replace my floors with the new blocks.

That’s not counting material gathering. Sigh.

So this is my previously uncluttered workshop floor now in hopes of cutting some of that time while I add another 100 plots worth of workshop area to make things look organized again. It’s still gonna take forever:

Me too. The Pure farms are the bomb…pun intended.
