Recently came back from a break from the game. With the recent changes to forging do I still use draining boon compound or? Is there someone willing to teach me how to forge again? 
Swing by The Golden Fist and try to catch tonezone when he’s on. He usually has the forge running 24/7 and is really good with it

I’m no expert, but if you were forging before, here is my advice:
You can pretty much do the same as before the changes, but you now want max power and draining compound 1. You can also do a similar method with Corrupted compound 1 This gives you more vigour in exchange for defect points instead of quirk points. Use your extra slots for things to mitigate the quirk or defect points you will now be getting. If you are unsure, the new deconstructing resin will help you minimize the price of a bad forge, once you have more confidence you can trade that out for something that gives you extra stamina or vigour, depending on what you find to be limiting you.
