[Resolved] Impossible to connect to the Universe Server

It say Connection to the Universer Server Timed out. It may be down for maintenance. I was unable to find any post about maintenance tonight??

If Boundless can’t connect to the Universe Server then it means it can’t get a response.

1. Please check you’re online.
2. Try rebooting your router.
3. Check nothing is blocking the game’s ability to connect, for example an anti virus update.

It’s possible the route from yourself, via your ISP, to the Boundless server is interrupted. If so, then you’ll need to wait until it’s resolved. Alternatively you could try contacting your ISP.

Every other games seem to work just fine, is there an ip I can trace to see where’s the problem?

You can try ping and traceroute against: ds.playboundless.com

I also tracert the website just to compare, and I also switched my DNS from my ISP to google one, wihtout any success.

I tried your application, now I can’t connect to Boundless at all even without it!

It’s likely you need to revert the changes done to your hosts file. This can happen if the application did not shut-down cleanly or if you opted for the manual host file modification flow.

EDIT: pretty sure this is it because ds.playboundless.com shouldn’t point to 127.0.0.1

omg it make sense I did try a program to help shopping… and the 127.0.0.1 surely come from my host file… i will go take a look at this…

Thanks Simoyd, I edited my host file and corrected the problem, I was not aware of this possibility, I should have known since I tried that exact program yesterday…, This thread can be close Thanks
