I was wondering if anyone had tried to create apartments and/or sales offices inside a city? Here’s what I am picturing, and read this with an open mind please, but let’s say I am going through a pre-built city or Hub, that has already created a road/path system, and want to have a presence there.

After searching in all directions I find that ALL of the plots are taken and the best I can do is find something barely within sight of the city center, or the hub: not a very good location at all.

What I would PREFER to find is a one or two plot “opening” in the city layout that would allow me to insert a couple of plots into the city build and end up with a perfectly fine location. Here, let me draw it for you.

Look off to the left of a city path:

PPPP
PPxxP Path
PPPP Path
pathpathpathpath

See the little “x”'s? They represent two plots that have NOT been claimed by whoever put all of the other plots there. Now the best way is for the person who put the P’s down to put blocks down just below the spot I can claim and just above the spot I can claim so I can see the outline that has been left open. Then all I have to do is build a floor, drop a beacon, then claim the open plot next to me to have a very nice spot within a city next to a path.

Has anyone done this? If yes, how did it work out?

I’ve been working on something similar. It’s called Gyosha Mall. PS Gyosha > Gyosha mall portal. It’s filling up nicely with shops. I did this pattern basically:

HHHHHHHHHH

P.S. I’ve discovered that using the “important stuff in the middle & go out from there w roads & beacons” method gets icky, real quick. It becomes a PITA if you have to find a plot to remove, decide to change something, etc.

hahahaha. What a small world. I live on Gyosha Ophin. I’ll come visit your place once I’m in game.
