Yes. Start opening a portal, but don’t break it open. It will turn into that when it times out.
And if I break it after that do I get to keep the block in that form
Nope just a portal conduit. But if you want it to stay purple just do what majorvex said, in the spot you want it.
Just keep in mind it has to be in a shape that portals can exist in.

I can’t break them. I guess I have to actually fully open the portal then destroy them.

Yeah, just activate them, then don’t walk through, they’ll time out after 1 minute, with no cost…I believe
I had to activate them to destroy the blocks. Make sure you put them where you want them lol

I have used the warp conduit in a few builds also. Ill leave the portal conduit to someone else though… That Purple

If you put a gem in a request basket, dark matter, blink and something else shows up i forgot what it is
