Is this a bug? I never noticed this before

If I have a block in my hand (to place) and then pick up a block of the same type, this happens

As you can see, the block in my hands drops down for a second. This doesn’t happen when I have a different type of block, other than the one I’m mining.

I think what you’re seeing is the stack changing causing a re-equip.

Not sure if that’s classed as a bug.

See here i have equipped a smart stack, with the first slot empty - so I’m currently equipping the topaz axe in the second slot.

If I drop a ruby hammer onti this smart stack, it takes the first empty slot, in this case the first slot. My avatar has auto-equipped the first available item in the smart stack.

I thought I’d post a better explanation, but I’m not sure if this is desired behavior with a single stack of identical items.

side-effect of the pick-up system now using the “flexible stacking” that quick-move uses… which seems to trigger a re-equip of the held item (doesnt need to in this case, but does anyways), and since we dont do prediction on picking up the items the client mispredicts when you place a block whilst server-side was busy re-equipping.
