It’s nowhere near done and I’m still working out some of the data, but you can see a good bit of stats here. This is newer data and some of it is a little confusing, but you can sort of see what’s going on.
fix your SSL
The link magically works …for now
Works on pc but not on my phone
Nvm working now lol
website being down is not a good look
https://www.playboundless.com
would seem its just the website but there is already a negative review saying that the game is off dated the 24th so im guessing its been at least a week?
but when i run my query tool i see:
07/30/2025 12:21 EST, Total Players: 16, Total Servers with players: 15
It’s not actually down. There’s an issue with their Wordpress configuration. I get the same screen on my personal PC but on my work laptop I can get to the site fine.
this site didint work long time
only part of that site working, that where we can rent sov worlds
SSL fixed
https://bstats.zapto.org/ should work now. I was waiting on the site to propagate the internet a bit, but apparently wasn’t long enough.
That’s a pretty baller site, @Redlotus. Perhaps you covered it already but how are you pulling the data and does it include PS players?
It does include PS players as it pulls the data from the servers. What is currently available at the moment. The historical data is newer though and doesn’t go all the way back. I did have some thoughts on pulling Steam data to be more precise historically.
EDIT: It is concurrent players too, so there’s that word again.
I don’t know if there is a true way for us to see how many total people still play game without checking active accounts that have logged in.
could just tally it by unique IP’s connected to the server and add a filter for duplicates/vpns.
If that was available data to consume yes.
true, didn’t know what data you had access too.
You only have access to the number of connection to a planet. I wonder if that number is really accurate since if you have a load portal to another planet it may show you are connected to it.
the game ui does show you as a participant of that loaded planet
This is exactly what has always worried me about the design of this game. I’ve always wondered whether the player count limit of a planet is the amount of connections to the planet or the amount actually on the planet. If it’s the former, there’s not that much growth that could happen on this game before the entire game locks up…
Especially seeing as the game’s settings lets you control how many portals are open at any given time…
I remember when Biitula was always full back in the day, the portal would not even load. So i guess you may be part of the connected list if it loads the portal. I could test that actually. Would need someone else with the proxy that is pulling planet color.
