Locks on storage is a thing of the past and doses nothing at this time.
It used to be such that, anyone can access storage blocks and you had to lock them to prevent people from getting in, now storage blocks are automatically protected from random people accessing them.
To give them more of a purpose it would be cool to allow them to lock some storage blocks, but then you have enough permission to go ahead with your service.
Heck I would’ve hired you in the spring if I could lock my valuables away from you. That is, after I got to know you better over Alcoholic Brews and Yam Soup lol
You can lock your build with solid blocks. Just wall up where the doors are, place the beacon reachable from the outside (like on the roof) and leave out build permission from the beacon. I can’t break the walls so I can’t get in but I’d be able to fuel the beacon
And set it so nobody can warp in for good measure.
Yup, one of my neighbours in game is willing to help with road building and other assorted stuffs and keeps begging for permissions but am hesitant about that, don’t know him IRL and not long or well in game either. If I could put locks on certain parts and storage blocks to prevent him from accessing the most valuable stuff I would, now tho it would mean having to set up separate beacons and all that stuff (like cursing about the unplotting/plotting when I can’t find a missing underground plot) which I rather do not…
And he really started doing that rather quickly, when he did I was looking at my storage and had 1000+ gems there, haha, ehhhm, nope, don’t think so buddy!
I played a ton and worked my butt of in game to get where I am don’t want it be looted. Tho I might be able to re-plot some roads and such, but still…
And is it weird that I don’t want any help just yet anyways? My settlement is not that big yet, there isn’t all that much to do in that department and if there is I enjoy doing it…
