My idea is like this: A separate dimension (world) Which is a big maze where distances are shorter, so 1 block is (for example) 20 blocks essentially making it a hub (to all worlds?) . IF you don’t get lost. (muhahahaha)
Of course there should be monsters and (at least) 1 Minotaur just walking around killing everything it sees.
A nice addition: the whole labyrinth is a TITAN!

Also why would you need a world where the dimensions are distorted if the dimensions aren’t locked from one world to the other.
It’s not like in MC where the nether was 1/7 of the overworld and you could only connect them on the respective coordinates.
You can open a Portal from anywhere to everywhere in Boundless.
