Launching B< using the .exe file

I recently had do set my PC to associate all .url files with my default browser which made the default steam desktop shortcuts stop working.
Therefore i went into all game folders and made a ‘normal’ desktop shortcut leading directly to the .exe file of the game. This worked for every game except for B< which just opens to give me this message:

I can still open B< by opening it in the steam library so it´s not a huge problem but a just little inconvenience (a fix would still be nice though :wink:)

Yes you need to launch through steam.

To regenerate the desktop shortcut in Steam if you right click on the game->Properites->General there is a “Create Desktop Shortcut” button.

Directly running the exe normally also means that the game launches through steam (forces a previous steam-login etc.).
So it is intended that you can´t play Boundless by directly running the exe? (Seems kinda odd since all other steam games allow me to run the .exe file)

I know but this generates an .url shortcut which doesn´t work for me (as i described above).
