Assuming that eyes open wider to more accurately examine an object of interest, I believe a wider gleamtrunk eye implies greater gleamtrunk interest. Hence, we can see that a gleamtrunk has no interest in meat or cooked earthyam, but shows increased interest in Starberry and Teaching Pies.
It is possible that it interprets the meat as potentially coming from other gleamtrunks and wisely avoids cannibalism. It is possible that it has no interest in the Earthyam because it has never experienced anything buried in the ground. It may prefer the higher nutrient density of the pies, and may be interested in faster exp gain or energy regeneration.
After closer examination I must also retract my findings about the orifice, which I have discovered is actually a protrusion whose size changes and oscillates between large and small. I must also state that the glass has nothing to do with impairing its sight, as stepping into the glass and applying healing bombs equally led to no response. The remaining hypotheses are the “no sight” hypothesis and the “too smart to become hostile” hypothesis. I also retract my findings about the psychic honk, as I found that “Atubios” also pass through the glass enclosure.
I believe the features of the two gleamtrunks to be almost exactly the same, except for the coloration of the tentacles. It is possible that both gleamtrunks are the same gender or perhaps equally genderless.
More specimens are required (Strong Gleamtrunk, Normal Gleamtrunk).

quick update, Tony’s friends shows signs of misbehavior. now we don’t know if Tony had anything to do with this or that she is upset that the event is ending soon and now seeking attention the wrong way.
i might try different foods.
