So, I really like the addition of meteors as a way to get oortstone and fragments, and think it’s a great public event, but I also have the bad habit of mining in some dark place for an hour before one touches down. I don’t know if that’s just me, but there it is.

Yeah I got a scare once when it landed next to me when I was reorganising my inventory. Heart attack like.
Well, I was playing a bit today, and one landed directly on top of my character. For anyone wanting to know, the meteors do max damage, and will kill you immediately
