I had a few mining planets that were a blast to mine on but they’re dead now and I can’t remember the details of how I created them in the first place. What biomes and settings are the best for creating a mining setup?

It depends on what it is you want to mine. Like type of gems or type of ore etc.

Diamonds - Forlorn outpost off Norkyna
Topaz, sapphires, emeralds - all accessible from Beladriel off Houchus.
portals are open in TNT, Dragon and Pharoa’s networks.
There is a Ruby planet off Shedu tier called Rose Ruby too.
