Monetization Thoughts and Ideas

I’ll preface this with, if Boundless had updates planned, some advertising and maybe a small roadmap, what are some ways Boundless could be better monetized so maybe it could pull in some people while not upsetting those of us that play?

example of furniture: release a FREE Traditional couch for everyone!!! Then an a DLC for 3 or 4 dollars that has several additional types/styles of couches.

Rinse and repeat for all cosmetic items sold…

Here is another… a generic pair of PANTS or all players FREE… then a 3 or 4 dollar DLC with several additional types of pants (blue jeans, etc)

Step 1 drop price to 20€.

Step 2.
Drop update that was already complete (:crossed_swords: update).

Step 3. Free weekend.

Step4. Do something for this game.

My bad it’s actually already 19.50€

Not that I don’t disagree with you, but I dont think much of this is much of what I’d say is monetization. If anything, this is just to appease the current playerbase and those waiting in the wings.

you need players before trying to monetize the game

Are you saying we need new players, or incentive to bring back old players?
Because I think without a member of the community to be on standby for new players, they’re going to leave in frustration.

You could let people pay to unlock colors. I bet that would at least briefly generate some money.

Cosmetics. People want their character to look cool.

Get some artist devs and pay them to design cool stuff.

This may be the simplest game to monetise, no?

In other games people even pay for things that nobody even gets to see. Like loading screens. I bet people would also pay for fancier looking sanctums. Especially people who stream / make videos.

Making a proper store for buying cosmetics and other stuff is definitely the way to go.

Sell the recipes for the locked tools.
(Explorers Fist, Wayfarers Totem and other new stuff.)
Down the line make a Halloween themed totem.
Make a gem and/or higher tier fist.

Sell the locked head pieces (chieftain headpiece, PlayStation and pc exclusive head peice)
Create new headpieces. Sell them.

Re-add the face piece option and create new faces/races. Sell them.
Add face paint option and sell face paints.

Add different eye skins and sell them.

Add a skin option for character. Sell skins.

Add skins for tools and sell them.

Add skin packs for blocks. Sell block skin packs. Cycle through block skins with transformations chisel.

Add an outfit section. (Loin cloth area)
Create new crotch area assets. Sell them.

Create new body paints and sell them.

Or alternatively make a new layer for clothes that would go over body paints.

Add more decorative pieces for your character.
Armour, bracer, shoulder peice, boots, backpack, wings, pants, etc.

@monty holla at your boy when you wanna make it happen.

Making cubits an earnable currency and putting all the cosmetics in that currency was such a strange decision James made. That absolutely cut into the revenue stream of this game.

I would like the race choices from EA to become available if possible.

I did see the Club option available already. Maybe they could use the same model as Trove or Fortnite with offering different aesthetic options or crossovers.

As cool as all those are. That’s way more work than simply making new faces and the backs of the heads. Then you need to realize that the masks we have now have to still work on said new faces. That’s why I suggested what I did because it’s actually doable with minimal effort and not redoing the whole character models for every race and redoing the animations for those models.
