At first O thought it was an Einstein ring (gravitational lensing of the light of an occluded star by a black hole) since that’s a real thing. Then I realized that since all our Worlds are really toruses and not spheres (or even oblate spehroids like the Earth), and it appears to be a torus, it’s probably one of the other Worlds with the Mulder field (I Want To Believe) accidentally disabled.
