New skills system not enjoyable

The idea that the inconvenience won’t stop you from switching skillsets to craft everything, and therefore is pointless, isn’t a very honest thing to say. If it was pointless, you would not be arguing against it. Time is money. And promoting a healthy economy in Boundless requires that there is appropriate “cost” to someone who wants to craft everything. That’s what the inconvenience is for. It doesn’t mean you can’t do it, but it’s limiting the time it takes you to do it. This more often than not will increase value of crafting, which will translate into cost of goods, meaning we’ll have less worthless stuff and more valued products in markets across the universe. That’s a win-win.
