@majorvex you never mentioned you were in Borderlands 4!
becouse @majorvex got fulltime job in Destiny2
In Destiny 2, the “Major Vex” refers to more powerful, elite Vex units, such as Cyclops, Hydras, and Minotaurs, which are significantly stronger than standard Vex units and possess unique abilities and defenses like shields and rapid teleportation. To find them for gameplay purposes, you can often locate them in challenging activities like the Vault of Glass (which features Praetorians) or farming them in specific Lost Sectors on planets like Nessus and Europa
There is only one MajorVex.
I stopped by this “Off Topic” thread to mention that another game I play besides Boundless is an indie game called “Len’s Island.” It’s a survival game, and you can also build things. It’s interesting.
@MoebiusXtreme & @boundmore Both of those look interesting. Thanks for showing them. I may get one or even both!
There’s a dwarf fortress mod for the minecraft knockoff game Luanti. It works with two of the games (luanti is the engine), minetestgame and luanti (more mods work with minetestgame than luanti though).
This pic is of the caverns down around neg 2200 Z on the sunless sea layer (one of about six layers it generates), only about 80m tall, so it feels more claustrophobic than the bigger ones above (some of which can be around 500m high). The huge chasms it makes can be 1000m high and km’s long varying between 5m-20m wide it seems.
The game is still no where as pretty as Boundless, the only thing approaching it is the cnc’d blocks you can make with some mods (nice round arch pieces for example and many sizes of cuts for blocks)
Cubic Odyssey now has dedicated servers. Going play on one a friend is running if anyone is interested.
The dedicated servers have issues. Plays fine for while you’re on there. But if you get kicked from the server, or save and quit, and then come back, stuff could be missing.
I’ve come back to empty chests, empty cargo holds.
Bases don’t have any kind of plot protection either. I built a small marble house, did some points of interests and came back to all the marble gone, and windows floating in mid-air.
One player came into my house and stole all my metal bars.
You’d be better off with the private co-op than the dedicated servers.
I would agree. The dedicated servers are a mess atm. Outposts get corrupted easily. Cannot purchase/sell items or even use the Portal (interactables) are missing!
If you do decide to do a private game instead, I’ll be happy to join. I grind in CO like I did in the early days of Boundless.
finally bought a game i was playing like crazy on i think 2 years ago at xbox oass, i fell in love and wanted to get it on steam and finally got it:D
still love this game
this was recommended to me, but i haven’t managed to find a server ith other players on it
i worked with Grok on a short story w/a voice actor in mind, Grok decided to name the character it was playing “Vex”; we’d been getting into Lexx philosophy
I died for the first time in a new game I got on Steam (thank you FB class action settlement!) called Orebound. It took me about an hour and a half to fall to my death in the darkness of a deep cave, maybe a new record for me. Holding a torch would have let me see the bottom coming up but alas, I died in darkness. Not nearly as bad a game as all the negative reviews led me to believe… Got my first coal powered mining drill going already even =)
I’m not sure how their multiplayer works, maybe the servers are only visible if the owner has launched their session (Host), I know it’s possible to rent dedicated servers. What I can advise you to do is check out their forums, which are still active with members and the developer, not the steam page but their website.
Been playing this one off and on. Good concept. Reminds me of Snowpiercer.
Satisfactory came out on PS5 today. It seems quite good so far.
