That seems to work best, but even full Control plus Shadowstep doesn’t seem to have an impact on mobs slowly homing in on your position, just means they don’t aggro until they get closer. I recommend having a few spots so you can move around and hope one of them doesn’t have spitters or cuttles nearby when you warp in.
