I would be down with a blueprint system just so I can save my builds and move them as I see fit. The problem is as more plots are in rotation people have the ability to plot large areas and dont think of the newer player or casual player that are expanding slowly. This whole I’m telling @james stuff is kind of childish and is completely ruining this game. If someone can’t get there way tell James. It’s like we are playing with 5 year olds that always say, “I’m telling on you!”. Yes you can ignore the drama but it does effect you and especially the newer player base because where a newer player really relies on the veteran players and the hubs they create the drama disrupts the new player progression by veteran players fighting with each other and breaking cities apart and portal networks because of petty arguments. Not only that it drives players away because of the toxicity they create. In my experience others try to influence you into not liking other players because of differences they had with other players. I get people want to be competitive but do it in a way that it is not toxic to the newer players and driving them away.

I agree with you. There are players that I despise, but I won’t discourage other players from playing with or joining them. Let them have their own experiences and form their own opinions.

I have been calling for this for a while. It would be so helpful for deconflicting. Would be nice for malls too.
Yup, sure way to make me quit the game and am positive I would not be alone in that.
Why punish people who have done nothing and are just playing? And if it is being wiped now when will the next one be?
So no,I would be gone for good when this ever happens…

Never said it was a good solution. Just a simple one.
I tend to be brutally honest at times, so forgive this lapse in judgement.

I believe the devs want to keep current players and attract new ones, this simple solution would most certainly not do the first and it warns the 2nd that a wipe can occur at any time…

That might work for builds that don’t take the surrounding environment into consideration, but for builds that are intentionally placed on a mountain or cave system, it’d be a really complicated cut/paste…

I don’t think world work very well for all builds, The larger the build the less likely it would work well.
Back when I used to be an admin on a few minecraft servers, every time I had to use world edit to cut out a large build and paste it somewhere else, there was a problem that kept happening, The terrain at the new location is very much mismatched to the point it causes the build to look ugly and becomes quite obvious that it had been uprooted and plopped back down somewhere else… It often takes modest amount of extra work to try to clean up the area and even then it can still look strange.

I think a new perm planet every 6 months would do alot for relieving pressure from a growing population. Because so many players like to chase their own plans, and every city expands, its inevitable to encroach upon others. With some new planets, we have more space to grow as a civilization and allow more space for players to go off grid to build solo.
It would also be fun to be the one to settle a new planet first.
And not to mention the opportunity for a black gleam T7 perm planet.
I played EA for a week, then got bored. What brought me back was the WIPE and new release. The opportunity to make my mark in a blank slate. New perm planets would offer this to others. Market heavy before/after a new planet drop.

Continuing the discussion from Planets need to be added:
Anybody who sets out to cause those issues or make it an issue will do that on any planet available because that’s how they play. You could add 100 more planets and someone will set out to do something another person doesn’t like or agree with. Just how it is in many games. More variety in added planets would be amazing though anytime.

this is actually a great idea, and makes it easier to move when you find a better spot.
personally i just find an out of the way spot so not only am i not in anyone’s way but their not in mine,i have a few build styles that works for me but i tend to live in mountains (even considered a underwater place)

Continuing the discussion from Planets need to be added:
I pictured the game evolving into more planets of all tiers like now but way more of them. Further and further out. And what would happen is the higher end players or long term players would be strong enough to warp further and further out, forming high level cities on far away high end planets and they’d mainly be playing in those systems. New players begin on T1/T3 and eventually work their way out further to either add to the high up cities or take over those planets as the players who established it prior have moved to even higher tier planets by then.
I know we somewhat have that now, but I see it on a larger scale and top tier players would be super far away mainly so it keeps a balance of levels from system to system. I also wondered if they will eventually do something with the 50 locations per planet and if guilds and allied groups can establish dominance of entire regions…eventually leading to planet control if they claim enough regions (without just laying down plots everywhere of course) and rival groups who are up and coming could have a PvP type event that can have a shot at taking over a region or chunks of a region to get their foot in the door…something like that.
Sorry for the rant.

Hunts don’t really happen on t6 anymore because of the added drops that lower the Oort amount.
Also I visit McRib as I’m building my home there.

that is certainly an interesting take on it and very true(tbh many mmo’s i’ve played had a similar system where region controller got say 5% of region taxes earned making it a viable solution) sadly there are people who just don’t care about courtesy and will do whatever they feel like no matter what.
Simple fix to all this drama: add a player vote to be included or not in a settlement when it occurs. And another button to leave/join freely (or maybe like once a day) the connected settlements…

I would love new planets, but I agree it wouldn’t solve issues with territory. The best solution would be one that makes it tiresome to grief, even if it’s still possible. So being able to move builds would be huge.
Here’s an idea that I’m sure many would hate, but there could be a tax buffer you could activate in beacon control that taxes anyone who builds within your reserved boundary. It would definitely deter unwanted neighbors from getting too close, and if they can’t pay, their plots within your tax boundary start to rot away.

I’ll take as many neighbors as I can get over here @FireAngelDth

Always have been, and always will be those kinds. Sometimes they may not even notice they are causing that kind of an issue for some as that’s just how they play. I’m sure down the road it will balance out. Players will find a better way to manage the planets and spaces.

i’ve no doubt it eventually will, and once people start working together instead of against each other we will see some truly epic builds/cities (even more so than we have now),i just pick a spot that’s out of the way of other people, being that far from hubs isn’t a huge deal for me as i have a max speed gatherer to get around fast enough plus warping to capital is cheap anyways.

Agreed I’m building slow and steady away from main developed areas and it’s simple getting around. I think what will happen with me is once I get built up and get really comfy with everything, I’ll join up with established guilds and be able to truly contribute better.
