I suggest a kind of storage block that you attach to portal block that you put fuel in to help keep portal going for longer periods of time.

I think there was talk before about being able to craft a more efficient fuel that would fuel portals for longer. I think that would be a better solution and easier to implement.
We definitely need something to help keep portals open longer, some of the larger portals require refueling every few days and it gets tedious.

I agree any long term solution would be great.
Iād like to see a way to pay with coin if the portal runs dry, to be honest.
Also could allow for a ticket system for buying your way to a different planet.

We definitely need some way to fuel portals for a longer time. As it stands a full load of shards is less than 2 weeks of time.
How many people go away for holidays/work for 2+ weeks at a time? I know I do.
By the time I get home my portal would have run out fuel and closed
