A family of oortbirds, peacefully enjoying last moments of their sleep.
You can see their usual night behaviour in display: the parents in the middle, with 4 kids around them.
Soon the sun will wake them up, I am sure… if not, that hopper there will.

This reminds me of that scene from the movie Prometheus where the astronauts enter a chamber full of alien eggs. Those glowing eyes lurking is pure sci-fi horror gold. You just know something is about to go horribly wrong.

I love sunrise and sunset colours - your pick of brown-ish tints is to my taste as well
I do like the natural colours for planets that I want to build on. It’s easier on the eye and it means that I have all the block types necessary at hand.
