Well it all Comes down to how much time you have at Hand to get spark. As you prolly queu Things over night, spark is the Point in Question.
Do you have time to go out every x Hours/days to get spark?

Yeh precisely what I’m trying to do, I want two machine laying horizontally with a layer of storage blocks between, then the coils behind kinda out of sight but still reachable with a spanner
My current setup is 48 fully powered machines in a very compact yet repairable layout. I’m quite proud of the fact that I managed to run them all from a single bank of spark generators. Each machine is stacked vertically with 6 stacks of coils 4 high surrounding it so each machine occupies a space of 5 blocks wide by 3 deep and 4 high.
I’m at work so cant link a screen shot, but they’re laid out in the following configuration. Birds eye view, O = empty block, C = coil stack, M = machine stack.
O C O C O
C O O O C
C O M O C
Ovis, take a look at my workshop area. To get there, go to Jacey’s Meteor Meet, find the portal named “Reeban’s”, go down the ramp into the basement and go to the right and into the portal called “New Home”.
I’m currently at work, right now, otherwise, I’d meet you and give you a tour.
Turns out I had 27
problem solved

@FayaAOP That’s a good way to look at it, I’m not too bothered with getting Spark as there is a great Peaty Soil farm on the Seg…iski (no idea how to spell that planet) Portal Seekers hub that I use
@wakeNbake nice that’s pretty sick, I’ll have to check it out!
@ReebanRuben Yeh I’m at work too lol, slow day at the cafe
I’ll check it out tonight, for inspo, thanks!
Yeah I’ll flick you a message when I’m home and see what we can do.

There is at least one workbench recipe requiring 6800 power or something like that.
I think all machines have 3000 power recipes now so even though it might not be frequent, there are situations where all 24 coils will have noticeable effect on spark/time for every machine.
Also, if you’re building in a tower watch out. Don’t forget the mesh limit.

6800 Power? Does anyone know what recipe that is?
Yeh the mesh limit is something new to me, but I think i should be alright as my tower is 5x5 plots with things spaced out quite symmetrically.
Thanks a good point about the 3000 power recipes, but I’m not sure how much deep crafting i’ll be doing tbh
I think the new fuel using kindling mass requires 4000 power… maybe some of the new machines or the guild helix coils need 6800?
If 24 coils per machine, but if you are looking to manufacture faster, I do not recommend it, since if you overpower the recipes, the waiting time is not reduced

I uses 12 coils on my machines that gives me 4000 power and good waiting times.
You don’t really need anymore than that .
I’m just set up my new workshop and I am only using 7 coils per machine that gives me 2100 power and only a but slower then 12 coils.

7200 power is the maximum you can have on a machine and the highest powered recipe is 3000 power.
Not much need to go over 3000 power .
I do 24 set up on each machine in the main base simply becausewe can get 7200 or close to that recipes in future, in any machine.
Don’t want to be rebuilding because I didn’t plan ahead.

You are better off using hard coal it’s the best fuel in the game the new enriched fuels are not very good just delivers spark faster more off a decorative block really bit off a waste off time I think.
Not true.
Maybe there are recipes you don’t see cause of the crafting skills? But there are enough recipes above 3000.

Witch one I’m maxed out on all skills I only see 3000 power
