Protection Paste 1 useless?

I don’t get the protection base 1 in the forge stuff. It saves 50% stability for 2 rounds but cost as much as it saves which makes no sense at all. Seems completely useless.

The stabilization paste is really only good at fixing an imbalance between vigor and stability. It has places where it is very helpful though. If your vigor is lower then your stability it is worthless. So it is essentially only beneficial when used in conjunction with the vigor catalyst
