Question for ambitious forgers

I’ve been forging for a bit, up to gem materials mostly, but here lately I’ve been thinking about the lucent materials and the best way to do them. I got to thinking about thinking (yikes) and wondered how many people actually write out ideas and whatnot or even have custom scripts to help plan your forges? On the reverse side, writing something to help plan forges might not be too hard if it’s just text. This is starting to sound like thinking about thinking about thinking about forging

I dont’ think I’m revealing any sensitive data if I state that @MrNiX has told me he does “paper forging” by hand at times.

Also @Mayumichi has created a forge simulator which is publicly available, though the URL eludes me at the moment.
