Quirk removal solvent is poorly named

The same issue has been posted before but a year ago so I thought I’d complain in a fresh topic - quirk removal solvent doesn’t do what it says it does. When all three quirks are applied and the quirk slider bar is full, quirk removal solvent, contrary to its name and what its description says, will not remove a quirk. It won’t do anything.
If the last quirk isn’t quite applied yet, it’ll remove it and function as intended, but once all three are full it does nothing.

1/10 - would not recommend this ingredient.
Super salty about losing that batch of bows…

Maybe I am missing something. I had an idea that I thought should maybe work, but it did not. With the Boon Removal Solvent 1, it is possible to erase all 3 applied boons, and Resin to start over. So I thought… well, why don’t I just wait ‘til the end of the forge, when I have 3 quirks I don’t want, then Quirk Removal 2 them into oblivion! I tested it, by applying 3 quirks, then making them go away… so success! (or so I thought) So I’m feelin’ happy! Forging my slingbow… it’s gonna be sooo …

I believe this is actually expected behavior…when it drains points it goes back into the slider, if the slider caps out it won’t drain more points. If it can’t drain all the points the quirk doesn’t remove. I agree though the description is a bit misleading BUT if it did remove the quirk without draining all the points I could see people finding a way to exploit that as a way to reduce overall quirk points on the forging. So you need to start removing quirks before the quirk slider maxes out …

The solvent removes as many points as there’s space in the quirk point bar.

Then the name and description should reflect that. It’s a quirk draining solvent.

After testing a bit, boon removal and defect removal act the same way… I guess it’s just that since quirks don’t level, they’re filled much more easily and this is more likely to happen with them : /
Still… it’s confusing.
