If not you guys are missing out, it’s delicious. You can and should buy it from a vending machine in an airport or train station if you see it when traveling here.
Anyway, to people in the US at least, deco gravel looks like this ice cream (and is probably why we don’t use that block type more). Just wondering if dippin dots exists outside the US. IMO that texture could use to be redone. I love @jesshyland’s amazing art but whatever deco gravel is supposed to look like, it looks like ice cream. Maybe there could be spherized gravel (current texture) and they could add a new type of deco gravel that looks less like ice cream. Not that I dislike ice cream. I love it! But I don’t want to walk on it. It would get all melty and make my shoes sticky. Also then I couldn’t eat it.
Please, Flagging stasi, don’t flag this as OT. This is boundless related.
Add a new deco gravel texture that looks less like dippin dots (but still keep the current one too)
So that’s really ice cream in the photo?? Or something you put on ice cream lol? Bloody foreign foods
They remind me of rainbow drops we get here a little… though rainbow drops aren’t ice cream and they’re not so perfectly round.
Now I want rainbow drops…
Yup lol! It’s sold in most malls, events, shopping outlet centers and in ice cream vending machines. I’ve gotten it a few times at the Rivercenter Mall in San Antonio (it doesn’t melt as fast as an ice cream cone in the 100°F heat)
I agree that the decorative gravel texture is not a good looking texture. It really does look like that “disco dip” Tmmk posted but in a single color. I wish it were changed for something more decorative and usable. I know some people have managed to find a use for it though.
Those dippin dots are so fun. They sell them at Six Flags. When you buy them during the summer they seem to keep from melting for longer than conventional soft-serve. You can walk around and eat the bowl between rides and then get sick on the next big coaster. I am ready for SUMMER!!!
Yeah I think that was the idea. But they made all the “rocks” of the gravel PERFECTLY round. Nothing in nature is perfectly round. It looks too unnatural, even for a crafted material IMO.
And as you say, it is a crafted material, so I see no reason why they can’t all be perfectly round
I’m mostly indifferent to the texture currently as I’ve not used it in a build outside of the test server or inorganic farms.
I feel the same. I tried to use them in a build at first, but it honestly just doesn’t look good IMO. I keep my gravel for mosaic and linear mosaic which both looks good.
