Release 233: 6x Closed Storage and 42x Building Blocks!

There have been a few things I’ve searched for (Gyosha, Biitula, etc) in the past few days and zero results came up on the scanner. People are already buying up stuff :open_mouth:

I logged off without repairing my machines tonight because of this. #NoMorePain.

Got excited about the update, decided to tear down my workshop since I won’t need to reach the coils anymore, forgot that I was crafting shops, now I have to wait another 3 hours for the shop to craft again

Did a similar thing when expanding my workshop. Tore it down then got stuck without machines to expand it xD. Had to use a friends workshop. Smart level 999

I had a few full machine set ups almost worn out yesterday and as I got my spanner, I realized I might well wait a few days and fix it when it’s easier.

It came sooner than I thought. :sunglasses

Question, Decorative Refined Gravel is being changed to Compact gravel (I assume in name only). Will inorganic crop tooltips (Combustion/Kindling/Kranut) be updated to show this change?

good question - my assumption is that despite recipe changed to cheaper, crops are affected by the same blocks and not the new ones (so that the decorative gravel we know now, remains the affecting block for combustion when planted in, even though it becomes compact gravel by name and easier to make; so that it’s the look of the block that decides and not how it’s made or called after the update)

Well despite stupidly breaking my refinery before it finished crafting, my workshop is ready for update. Went from 2 floors to only needing one :grinning:

Exciting News! I look forward to playing with the new blocks, and the update to the repair system. The storage is exciting too. I hope the changes to the lighting will affect some of my buildings positively, but I’ll have to see. This and the new SWTOR expac out on the same day, good thing I work weekends now so I can get my gaming fix on this week.

I am sooooooooo gonna temporarily change a bunch of extractors to compactors, mixers and refineries in a second before the update drops!

Then if I have time left set up some temp storage boxes with the colours I want to crush into gravel and/or sand!

Oh! And forge some spanners!

Don’t think you need to forge them
At least not for aoe
Right or did I read it wrong

spanners will repair the machine and its power coils regardless of effect-adjacent forge attributes (which continue not to work…)

Imo, the new way the spanners work is better than having the AOE (do we even need that anymore?) reason being that now you dont move to climb around to reach all coils. This also enables us to hide the machine and have 1 coil/block of it showing and still be able to repair it.

there could still be a use of AOE in repairing furnaces/crafting tables if you have a bunch next to one another, or even a bunch of 4-block machines next to one another (wouldnt be able to get optimal engine layouts in that case though). Supporting AOE on spanner I think we would not let them become overpowered though and ensure its just “easier” rather than “better”, so repair amount being divided between the workload like with this new behaviour repairing the machine and all power-coils

Increasing the damage repaired is sure going to be more useful!

If you forge them they take less energy drain, repair more per swing, etc. That is still the same as ever…

Are you Classy Cuttletrunk/538 by chance? If so, THANKS! Was coming to plug your shop actually… really appreciate all the bonding agents up there, I just went and dropped quite a bit of coin, didn’t have enough of the enriched for the gold filigree!
