Oh…well. I guess that’s not too bad. Seems like an unnecessary addition. Complexity for complexity sake.
the compactor just doesn’t have the strength to break apart the rock and gravel, it needs an extra bit of oomph from the heat of the combustion particles to soften the rock and gravel up before crushing.
That’s my thematic reasoning anyways… (the compactor normally turns gravel into compact gravel afterall)
Not mine.
These two things are not mutually exclusive…
Also, I thought that the bonding agent added to Gravel in a compactor was what made it all stick together, not the action of the compactor itself? I feel like we’ve been wasting bonding agent for no real reason!
well the compator squeeze it together, but without the bonding agent it wouldnt “stay” together
So the extractor would have been a better choice since it breaks down a resource up into components?
extractor to me sounds like some sort of chemical process of pulling bits out of a material.
compactor sounds like “squeezing” and if you squeeze rocks enough they will break apart…
whatever!
I see it as putting a little bomb (combustion partical) in with the rock/gravel and then the compactor squeezes it and makes it go boom resulting in… a broken machine… but you still have the gravel/sand
Can u be more concrete?
Is it just me or did the others, expect for miner not come through in this update
Looks like the recipes got skewed for them… You can still get to the others using a changer chisel though for the time being.
Thanks a bunch stretch
Didn’t think off that
I think it is mean to be like this because it seem to work like LEDs: When you destroy/collect it goes crafted “first” state.
Small question about the octogrid blocks, since they can be used both as platforms across liquids and allow liquids to pass through them do they have any effect on the liquid requirement of crops i.e do the crops still register the presence of the liquids even though the liquid is passing through the octogrid block?
if i understand what you mean, it should still count the liquid block. It is the same as any chiseled block where you add liquid “inside” them.
oh good, that means i can use them as an alternative to glass panels especially for lava and still keep the liquid adjacency bonus
Hunter next?
Is there a rough timescale for the metal/gleam chests being introduced?
Will it be like the ornate crops which came in the next update (I think) or will there likely be a bit more time than that?
I have an idea on how I’m gonna use the metal ones, but if we had rough idea, then those of us so inclined can temper our impatience a little!
Can we have a miner marble block version with that strapless bikini top we have to wear? Just that change, not pinker or more rounded block edges/pattern/lipstick/etc.
