For what it’s worth I came back after 2-3 years. Only thing I had left on my account was the gear already in my inventory, 40k coin, and my plots. I didn’t have to start off completely from scratch but wasn’t too much better off than you are. I had some amazing builds in high traffic areas too so I just don’t think about all the landfall I missed out on.
The journey to get back to where I used to be has been half the fun though so far. Didn’t take terribly long to sell enough oort to get advanced coils in my workshop and fully deck out my forge. Only thing that makes me sad is how everything is so spread out now with the sovereign worlds thing. Used to see a dozen or two ppl running around in hubs. Now I’m lucky to see even one person.
are you joking? every time i running from my home thru TNT mega hub to shops i see several players around, at hunt time there are around 40 ools running to different portals, from my return almost 1 month sgo every time no matter where i went i saw few/several or other players roaming around, sometimesci think even more than 2 years ago before i left
Am I joking? No I’m sharing my personal experience. Made my return 'bout 10 days ago roughly, I’ve been incredibly active, and I obviously use the hubs constantly. Primarily TNT and GTG. The most players I’ve ever seen in a hub so far is 2.
I’m glad to hear it’s more active than I’ve seen. But I personally have yet to witness that kind of congestion. Or any amount of congestion really. (Whereas in the past I’d see handfuls of folks in hubs no matter what time of day it was.)
It rly depends When you play and how you play the game… If you use popular hubs Then sure the game is popular… If you settle In some world wheres alrdy players… Sure.
But When you build next to ghost town hoping there must be bunch of players cause theres a big town… Not so much
A couple hours after I posted that I did run across 4 in the TNT hub, but that’s def been irregular to my experience so far.
To be fair though before my hiatus (if i recall correctly) Serpensarindi and Alcyon had just been added, so there were considerably less places for players to be at any given time, with merchandise being concentrated in considerably less stores, and less hub branches. So naturally it’d be more common to run across ppl. But I do miss it though because it made it feel like a closer knit community.
Sep 4th '18 these were in the ULT portals list. Sep 11 was the official release date.
That’s been a minute. I’d say the population went up for a bit after that. By the time I came in October we were frequently getting blocked off of Finata.
Kept digging - Dzassak/Trung (the last planets) came in Feb '19 so, pretty close onto 4 years even then. Considering what they’ve done all the way down to the lighting and stuff that must have been an interesting return for sure.
I’m just now realizing how long it’s been. That would’ve been around the time the 2 major guilds at the time, PS and another I can’t remember, had to work with the devs to reconfigure their hub systems because we were getting some major server congestion in those days. Finata was pretty much the main capitol of the entire solar system. I had just built my forge shop near the heart of the city.
Had a ton of plots behind me too that I was planning on building more on. Can’t even remember what pulled me away anymore. But it was nice to see the changes when I did come back. The occasional snowfalls is one of my favorite additions actually. Pretty sure we only ever had rain back then.
