I’d rather see a way to preserve the materials and block out the cubit problem, than deal with a large material loss or grind requirement.

This is currently the only option ofc. OP was gone when the new blocks came out, and I ran into a similar situation at the transition. Not joking I had approximately 60 stacks of machined iron and suddenly
- Nobody wanted machined iron
- I (and a lot of other people) wanted a ton of refined iron
Generally (besides times of transition) it would be nice to have in the game for a few reasons.
