Seams vs Chunks

In the world builder, there are two types of block for most ores: seams and chunks. What’s the thinking behind them?

Is a seam what is expected to be placed into the world, and a chunk the aftermath of breaking a seam block? Or something else?

Seam drops the ore you harvest, chunks can be crafted using the ore. Chunk is a solid block of a metal or gem type.

I think seams are the raw version that you harvest (coal seam for example in dev made worlds) and the chunk blocks are what you get after some refinement. Kovah has both, I think.

Edit: lol hi ben. Beat me by that much
